SSAA Para has been given the opportunity to run the air rifle pavilion at the 2012 Schutzenfest. This is an excellent opportunity for our club to educate and demonstrate to the wider community about the shooting sports.

The Schutzenfest will be held on Friday the 13th and Saturday the14th of January. The shooting range will operate during 4pm until 8pm on Friday and 12 noon to 6pm Saturday. Schutzenfest operates until midnight each day so you will be able to have a few beers after.

While the range is open, we are looking for around 25 to 30 volunteers each day to assist us with showing people how to shoot (1 on 1), range officers, assisting juniors, and handing out information about the shooting sports. Even if you can assist with 2 or 3 hours it would greatly be appreciated, and would spread the workload.

All volunteers will receive free entry into schutzenfest, and car parking if required. A volunteer helper’s night will also be held in March. During the helper’s night, the German Club shouts drinks and German Food to all the volunteers.  J
