Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette

TheĀ  Silhouette Rifle match is similar to the Rifle Metallic Silhouette match, in which rifles are used to knock down metal targets at a variety of distances.

The discipline can be broken up into the following classes of firearms;

RangeCowboy Lever Action

Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette
1. Any lever-action Centerfire rifle .25-calibre or larger with a tubular magazine of original manufacture or reproduction thereof. A rimmed case loaded with a round-nose or flat-nose bullet must be used; .35 Remington is the exception and is therefore allowed.
2. Targets: Big Bore Pistol at distances of 50, 100, 150 and 200m.

Pistol Cartridge Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette
1. Any lever-action Centerfire rifle with a tubular magazine. A rimmed pistol cartridge must be used, such as .25-20, .32-20, .38, .357 Magnum, .38-40, .44, .44-40, .45 Colt, .45 Long Colt, .22 Magnum and, .22 long rifle.
2. Targets: Field Pistol at distances of 25 or 40, 50, 75 and 100m.

Note: Any Centerfire rimmed pistol cartridge is permissible in the long-range event.
Small-bore Cowboy Rifle Silhouette
1. Any lever-action, or pump-action Rimfire rifle with a tubular magazine .22 long rifle only.
Hyper-velocity ammunition is prohibited.
2. Targets: Small-bore Pistol at distances of 25 or 40, 50, 75 and 100m.

The lever action Centerfire rifle match and the pistol calibre match will be shot on the 1st Saturday afternoon of the month.

The small-bore rifle match will be shot on the 3rd Sunday afternoon of the month.
