2020 November COVID UPDATE - 16/11/2020

COVID 19 UPATE ON Restrictions as of the 16th of November 2020

Range Activities

In line with the premiers announcement all shooting activities at SSAA Para (competition or general practice) are to be temporarily cancelled (expected duration 2 weeks). This takes effect as of 12:01am Tuesday 17 November (tomorrow).

We will have someone staffing the canteen phone during this time to take membership payments, applications and questions. Maintenance work can still occur during this period.

Membership Extension Periods

The range was previously shut for just over 6 weeks and the extension to membership was for 8 weeks (2 months). The council will monitor this shutdown length to determine if this second restriction falls within the previous extension already allocated to memberships or if it needs to be altered again.

AGM and Special AGM (Scheduled for the 17th of November)

In line with the premiers announcement today, all private gatherings (eg: meetings) are capped at 50 people, which are to be spaced at 1 person per 4 square meters.

Based on historical attendance numbers, we are planning on the AGM and Special AGM going ahead and to be held on the top range under the lights. The BOM is forecasting fine conditions.

If we get over 50 members then we will need to either reschedule or restrict attendance to voting members only. To be eligible as a voting member the member will need to be a member for more than 6 months and have S06 as their registered branch number.

Members are encouraged to bring their own pen. Face masks and the COVID app are not mandatory, but encouraged and all members attending the AGM will need to register on our tracing sheet on arrival. We will also be asking for attendees to go to a seat on arrival and leave straight after the meeting.

Christmas Shoot and BBQ

At this stage the Christmas shoot and BBQ is outside of the 2 week isolation period. However, we will need to continue to monitor restrictions to confirm if it can go ahead.

We will keep you posted.

Thank you for your understanding as we move through this uncertainty.

For any questions or concerns please contact the club secretary.
