Reopening Stage 3 - 29th June 2020

The club is pleased to announce that we will moving to stage three of reopening from the 29th of June 2020. 

Please refer to the opening procedure (Version 3) for the steps required to book in range space for general sighting in, nominate in section match shoots and moving around the range to maintain social distancing. 

Key Points:

Please read the full document, however the key messages: 

  • Venue Capacity has changed from 80 to 1000
  • Areas that are classes as fields of play (firing line sheds) must keep to 1 person per 2 meter square. The 1.5m spacing does not apply when used for training or competition. 
  • If the zone changes to outside field of play (for example an office or spectator shed) then both the 1 person per 2 meter square and the 1.5m spacing applies. These areas are summaries in the document. 
  •  Bookings to still be made to the canteen for general sighting in on the main range. Sections no longer need to book with the canteen as the venue capacity is now 1000.
  •  All benches and firing points can be used as they are classed as in field of play areas
  •  Canteen capacity is now 30 (excludes kitchen area) 1.5m spacing applies.
  • Everyone must sign the attendance book as this is our contract tracing list and is still required under the firearms act
  •  NO BBQS shared food, nibbles, salads or ALCOHOLIC Drinks including BYO. The COVID plans change to another restrictive level.
  • If inspected, a copy of the stage 3 plan will be available in the canteen.
  • Safety course training to resume. Please register with the trainer to book in a spot as attending with no booking wont be accepted.

SAPOL have advised they will be conducting random compliance inspections. Individuals who flout the regulations face on the spot fines of up to $1000 and Clubs up to $5000.

If you are unwell and have cold or flu like symptoms, we ask you to stay home and cancel any bookings made. 

We also highly recommend that all our members download the COVID-19 App on their phones.
